  4. Alamiyah Stage (Specialized Learning) – 2 Years

How to Get Admitted:

  • Application Time: Admissions open right after Eid al-Fitr during the second week of Shawwal. If you’re interested, make sure to apply during this period. The exact dates will be announced during Ramadan.
  • Basic Qualification: To start the course from the first level, students should have completed at least 10th grade (Matric). If not, they might be placed in a level that suits their knowledge.
  • Recommendation Required: New students need to bring a recommendation from someone trusted, using a specific form that can be collected from the reception.
  • Special Certificates: If you are coming from specific madrassas, like Jamia Dar al-Ulum Nanak Wara, you need to bring a certificate signed by the head of your previous school.
  • Entrance Test: Students need to have good grades (at least 70%) in previous exams to qualify for the entrance test.
  • Level Tests: Before moving to a new level, students will be tested on the key books from their previous level.
  • Admission Process: After the written entrance test, students will have an oral interview. Based on how well they do, the committee will decide which level they can join.
  • Limited Seats: There are only a certain number of seats available in each level. If a level is full, this will be announced early on. But, outstanding students may still get a chance.
  • Accommodation: If there are no places left in the dormitory, students might be admitted without accommodation.

For International Students:

  • Visa and Residence: International students need to have a valid visa and residency permit to study at Jamia Haqqania.
  • Educational Requirements: To start from the first level, international students should have a qualification equivalent to 10th grade.
  • Minimum Age: Students who want to stay in the dormitory should be at least 14 years old. Once admitted, they can choose to stay on-campus.
  • Private Rentals: The madrassa doesn’t arrange rented accommodation, but if there’s space, it might be provided with special permission.
  • Dual Nationality: If a student has dual citizenship, they can be admitted using their Pakistani ID card.

School Year and Holidays: The school year at Jamia Haqqania starts on the 16th of Shawwal and ends on the 15th of Sha’ban. Classes are held every day except Friday. Students need to attend six hours of classes daily. The long holidays are from the 10th of Sha’ban to the 7th of Shawwal, with an additional nine days off during Eid al-Adha.

Exams: Students take three exams during the year:

  • First Exam: In the first week of Safar
  • Mid-Year Exam: In the first week of Jumada al-Awwal
  • Final Exam: In the first ten days of Sha’ban

Study and Review: Students need to prepare for their lessons by studying in advance. They also have to review what they’ve already learned. This review process is called “Takrar,” where students get together in small groups to go over the lesson again. This method helps students remember the lesson better and teaches them how to explain it to others.

Accommodation Rules: Students need to be at least 14 years old to stay in the dormitory. Younger students can attend classes but must live outside the madrassa.

Facilities Provided: Jamia Haqqania offers free education for Darse Nizami students. They also provide free accommodation, meals, and basic medical care. However, if a student can afford it, they are encouraged to pay for their room and food.
